CUPE provides CAPM In House courses which enable delegates to prepare for both the PMIs CAPM and PMP examinations. Delegates who have attended the CAPM course shows that CUPE has some of the best classroom training in the industry, providing face-to-face instruction with tutors that have years of experience in both training and the fields they are teaching.
PMI’s Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®)is a valuable entry-level certification for project practitioners. Designed for those with little or no project experience, the CAPM® demonstrates your understanding of the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project management.
Who would benefit?
You should attend if you are involved in projects with a need for a better understanding of the PMI PMBoK or require a formal CAPM® qualification. If you’re a less experienced project practitioner looking to demonstrate your commitment to project management, improve your ability to manage larger projects and earn additional responsibility, and stand out to potential employers, the CAPM® certification is right for you.
It is recommended that the pre-course study is undertaken. All materials and support are provided.
How long is the course?
The course is designed to be run as a three day very intensive course. There is pre-course studying required to gain the most benefit and delegates should plan to spend time consolidating their studying prior to examination.
What is included?
The course includes a pre-course study guide and PMI PMBoK book, tutor e-mail support pre and post course, course materials, practise examination questions and CUPE stationery.
What is needed to apply for exams?
PMI requires a high school diploma (or global equivalent), at least 1500 hours of project management experience and a minimum of 23 hours of formal project management education to be eligible for the CAPM® exam. This course will meet the formal education part of this requirement. You must apply directly to PMI for your examination.
