This is a 2 day course.
EXAMS
There is no formal exam, but a test is given for a CUPE certificate of attainment.
PRE-PREQUISITES
No pre-course work is required but some knowledge of PRINCE2™ is a help to get the most from the course.
OBJECTIVES
- Understand how to plan and organise project communication
- Understand how Project Management methods based on PRINCE2™ can be used to improve communication
- To understand stakeholder analysis to identify communication requirements
- To be able to develop a communication plan
CONTENT
This two day course is designed to enable people involved in projects to produce a communication plan. It consists of the following major areas:
- Introduction to Project Communication
- Why are Project Communications different?
- Virtual communications
- Communications media and channels
- Undertaking Stakeholder Analysis
- Selection of media and channels
- Communication effectiveness
- Avoiding common communication pitfalls
- Overcoming project communication barriers
APPROACH
A combination of trainer led and practical group working, delivered by an APMG PRINCE2™ approved trainer, who is very experienced in projects.
